The Sky and Beyond – reflections on living with psychosis by 100 year old sculptor Dorothea Buck

I have the good fortune to be presenting a paper along with a small group of colleagues from other continents at the World Psychiatry Congress in Berlin this coming October. My contribution will be focused on Art therapy and mental illness – a health promotion perspective.

The web based program for the Congress has just gone live today. However, I most would like to draw your attention to one of the ambassadors for the Congress, centenarian and sculptor Frau Dorothea Buck. Here on this link you can hear Dorothea speak of her experience of psychosis and wisdom borne from her experiences. A film of her life will be shown at the congress. (from Patricia Fenner)
